Who we are

TECBI is the evolution of C.M.B., the tradition of Made in Italy in flat glass processing.

The tradition of Made in Italy industry renewed over time

TECBI is the result of the evolution of C.M.B. (Costruzioni Meccaniche Besana), a name that has made history in the glass processing industry since 1917. With a legacy rooted in more than a century of experience, we are a world leader in the production of flat glass processing machinery.

TECBI is synonymous with quality, reliability, and technological innovation.

TECBI carries on the tradition of C.M.B., a pioneer in the production of machinery for glass processing.

Over a century of excellence

When C.M.B. first opened the doors of its workshop in Milan in 1912, it likely didn’t foresee the historical impact its work would have. Today, C.M.B. is recognized worldwide as a symbol of exceptional Made in Italy industrial production.

In its early years, C.M.B.'s (Costruzioni Meccaniche Besana) production focused on the mechanical sector. However, in 1917, recognizing a new opportunity, Besana began manufacturing glass processing machinery.

C.M.B. later relocated to Cittiglio, in the province of Varese, and its journey developed into international acclaim, standing out for the quality of its machinery and the innovative push it brought to the industry.

For example, in 1976, C.M.B. introduced the first double-eger with peripheral wheels, followed in 1984 by bilateral grinders for flat edge grinding with threads, revolutionizing the way glass was processed worldwide.

This legacy is now an integral part of TECBI, which continues to develop advanced solutions to meet the needs of an increasingly competitive market.
